About Hernando, MS - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

The city of Hernando, MS is the perfect southern home town with everything that anyone could want.  It is beautiful, historic, quiet, safe and welcoming. The charm is literally bursting out of the seams of the town.  In the spring and summer, beautiful flowers and charming gardens dot the roadsides.  Come winter, you will find snowmen greeting you from the yards of the community members. The people do not just take their yards and home seriously but they also take their responsibility to care for their entire hometown very seriously.  In 2011, Hernando was named one “100 Best Places to Live”, by CNN and Money magazine. It was also featured on CNN’s “Great American Small Town” – a series about the many amazing small towns that dot our nation’s landscape. Hernando was also chosen to be featured on an ABC special about healthy communities.  The town, in short, has plenty to be proud of.

The town has five National Register Districts, as well as many Mississippi Landmarks. Examples include the 1925 Water Tower, (which was the subject of a New York Times article).  The same water tower was also on the cover of the Grammy-nominated “North Mississippi All-star’s Hernando” album cover. Hernando is a “Preserve America” Community, and a “Main Street” Community. Main Street is an economic development program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The community also maintains a Preservation Commission.

The people within this community are incredibly active and are always out and about, no matter the weather or the season. It is such an active town, in fact, that it was the first city in the state to be named the “Healthiest Hometown” by the Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi Foundation.  The town has a Christmas parade in the chill of winter and a 4th of July parade in the summer warmth.  They also host “Movies on the Square”, a “Sunset on the Square” concert series, the Water Tower Festival, the Tin Roof Art Walk and much more. The government in Hernando is known for their work to create sustainable policy changes which help to keep the community active, healthy, happy and engaged.  And, their work has certainly paid off.
